This ad is one of their funniest ones I’ve seen for slim fast.Slim-fast, one of the most known products for weight problems, this product’s audience is mainly for everyone who’s willing to try anything to lose weight, as well as those who want to lose weight without much effort, especially since females tend to be the main audience since females are typically more self-conscious about their weight.
In this case this is mostly for brides. More than likely this ad tempts the brides to want to fit into their dream dress for what will be one of the happiest day of their lives (or something cliche like that.)
As you see there a nicely decorated weeding cake but it’s out of focus since the main point the designer wanted to show was the little wedding cake toppers of the bride and groom. That’s were you will notice something odd, the bride has fallen into the cake! It’s funny but at the same time it adds the feeling of being self-conscious. Another point in this is that the text at the bottom of the ad says “Need to lose a little weight before your wedding?” the before is the key point, that way they earn more sales since the audience will want to lose as much weight before hand so it would be more effective.
I find it amazing how this is a popular, I personally find the drink’s taste to be horrid, yet so many buy this in hopes to lose weight.
